Xianxian County Selected as a National Model County for the Agricultural Full Industry Chain

For years, our county has prioritized the development of the roast duck industry, diligently building a comprehensive, integrated全产业链—from breeding parent ducks and hatching ducklings to order-based free-range farming, feed supply, disease prevention, unified product collection, centralized slaughtering, cooked-food processing, and finally, a nationwide chain of roasted duck outlets. In 2017, "Xian County Roast Duck" was officially listed as a leading, distinctive, and advantageous industry in Hebei Province, while in 2019, it earned recognition as a "Hebei Provincial Regional Public Brand with Competitive Advantages." Additionally, in 2018, Xian County was designated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs as a "National Pilot County for the Integrated Development of Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Industries in Rural Areas," and was also honored as an "Advanced County for Specialized Agricultural Industries in Hebei Province." Most notably, in 2019, Xian County was awarded the title of "Hebei Province's Specialty Agricultural Product Advantage Zone for Roast Duck." At the heart of this thriving industry is Hebei Leshou Duck Industry Co., Ltd., a nationally recognized leader among agricultural industrialization enterprises, which spearheaded the establishment of the Hebei Provincial Demonstration Agricultural Industrialization Consortium—the Xian County Roast Duck Industry Consortium.

From 2018 to 2019, the China Roasted Duck Industry Summit Forum was held consecutively for two years in Xian County. In 2020, the county’s entire meat duck industry chain generated an output value of 3.87 billion yuan, accounting for approximately 56% of the county’s total agricultural output. This thriving sector also spurred the cultivation of 700,000 mu of corn, producing 520,000 tons of feed, while simultaneously facilitating the slaughter of 70 million meat ducks and supporting the establishment of 160 chain restaurants specializing in roasted duck.
