Cangzhou Feed Industry Association Holds Successful 5th Members' Meeting

On the morning of May 23, 2023, the 5th Members' Conference of the Cangzhou Feed Industry Association was grandly held at the Cangxing Business Hotel in Cangzhou. Attending the meeting were 150 participants, including leaders in charge of animal husbandry and feed from various counties, districts, and cities, as well as representatives from member units of the city’s feed industry association, heads of feed enterprises, and key business personnel. Ma Dianjun, Director-General of the Cangzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Professor Chen Baojiang, Secretary-General of the Hebei Provincial Feed Association and Dean of the College of Animal Science at Hebei Agricultural University; Lin Dequi, a Third-Level Researcher with the Cangzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; and Li Anran, Deputy Head of the Animal Husbandry Management Section of the same bureau, delivered important speeches at the event. Leaders responsible for animal husbandry and feed industries from each county, district, and city also attended the conference.

Ma Dianjun, Deputy Director of the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, delivered a speech at the meeting and emphasized the importance of safe production. He urged all participating companies to strengthen industry self-discipline, enhance the quality and safety standards of feed production, and ensure compliance with regulatory practices. Additionally, he highlighted the critical need for robust workplace safety management, stressing that each member company must prioritize safety as its top operational concern. In closing, Director Ma affirmed that the government, businesses, and industry associations share a common goal: to effectively manage and grow the Cangzhou feed industry while addressing key challenges faced by feed enterprises in their day-to-day operations. He underscored the responsibility of all stakeholders to drive the industry’s sustainable and healthy development, ultimately contributing significantly to Cangzhou’s economic growth.

Leadership transition election

With the care and support of the leaders from the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, and following recommendations from the 4th Executive Council, members of the attending Feed Industry Association units cast their votes by show of hands to elect the 5th Council Chairman, Secretary-General, 10 Vice-Chairpersons of the Council, 3 Supervisors for the Supervisory Board, as well as the Chairman and 5 Vice-Chairpersons of the Microbiology Branch.

Chairman Gao Xijun was elected as the president of the 5th Council of the Cangzhou Feed Industry Association, while Wei Zehai, General Manager of Hebei Kunpeng Feed Group, was appointed as the Secretary-General of the association's council. The vice-presidents of the 5th Council include Wei Zehai, Zhang Lianshui, Li Baojian, Liu Renyi, Zhang Hongwei, Wang Honglai, Zhong Jinghong, Zhang Shiyao, Liu Xiyong, and Wang Yumei, who also serves as the Deputy Secretary-General. Zhao Hongwei was named Chairman of the Supervisory Board, with Li Hehe and Mu Honggang appointed as supervisors.

Recognition Ceremony

In recent years, as the Cangzhou feed industry has continued to grow stronger and larger, a number of advanced enterprises have emerged—companies characterized by scientific management, superior products, and significant market influence. To recognize these outstanding organizations and further encourage and support their development, the city association, after careful evaluation, has selected five "Cangzhou Feed Industry Leader Enterprises," 10 "Top 10 Feed Enterprises in Cangzhou," and 4 "Star Export-Import Feed Enterprises in Cangzhou."

Contributing Expert

Mr. Yao Minpu, former Vice Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group Agri-Business (China), Honorary Vice President of the China Animal Husbandry Association, and Honorary Chairman of the Swine Industry Division, as well as Strategic Advisor to the Board Chairman of Dabeinong Group, delivered an inspiring report to the attendees.

Safety Training

Liu Shuangping, Safety Manager of Hebei Leshou Duck Industry Co., Ltd., delivered a training session on safe production practices in the feed industry for everyone.

Through this meeting, member organizations gained insight into the development trends of the livestock industry and the key requirements set forth by the government’s agricultural authorities regarding the feed sector. It also helped strengthen members of the Cangzhou Feed Association in their commitment to ensuring safe and secure feed production management practices.

This conference achieved excellent results— it was a complete success!
