The launch ceremony for the National Standardization Demonstration Project on the Integrated Third-Industry Development of Meat Ducks was held at Leshou Duck Industry.

On May 24, 2023, the launch ceremony for the National-Level Agricultural Standardization Demonstration Zone—specifically the National Standardized Demonstration Project Integrating Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Industries in Meat Duck Production—was held at Hebei Leshou Duck Industry. Attendees included Wang Puzeng, Deputy Director of the Hebei Provincial Administration for Market Regulation; Guo Yongzhi, Director of the Standards and Technology Division; Zhang Wei, Director of the Cangzhou Municipal Administration for Market Regulation; Jiang Guangtian, Deputy Director; Wu Haishan, County Mayor of Xian County People’s Government; Liu Xiaowei, Deputy County Mayor; and representatives from all member units of the project’s dedicated task force.

The launch ceremony was chaired by Liu Xiaowei, Deputy County Mayor of Xian County People's Government. It began with Guo Yongzhi, Director of the Standards and Technology Division of the Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, reading out the approval document for the demonstration zone project.

Wu Haishan, County Head of Xian County People's Government, delivered a speech on behalf of the Xian County government, extending his best wishes for the successful completion of the three-year construction period of the National Standardized Demonstration Zone for the Integrated Development of Meat Duck Production and Related Industries—and hoping for abundant achievements in the process.

Gao Xijun, Chairman of Hebei Leshou Duck Industry Co., Ltd., the organization establishing the project, delivered a statement, emphasizing that Leshou Duck Industry will seize this excellent opportunity presented by the demonstration zone project to strengthen the standardized integration of the three sectors—production, processing, and services—in its meat duck operations. The company plans to significantly increase its financial investment, driving upgrades across the entire meat duck industry chain, including production, supply, and value chains. This initiative will accelerate the deep integration and development of the tertiary sector, ultimately creating a comprehensive meat duck standardization demonstration zone. At its core, the zone will focus on advanced duck breeding and smart farming practices, while highlighting state-of-the-art, automated slaughter and processing facilities. Ultimately, the project aims to enhance brand development, foster stronger industry integration, and boost farmers' incomes—providing robust support for modernizing agriculture and rural areas and advancing rural revitalization efforts.
