First Public Announcement of the Environmental Impact Assessment for Hebei Leshou Duck Industry Co., Ltd.'s Meat Duck Slaughter Line and Supporting Project
This public participation process for the environmental impact assessment was conducted in accordance with the "Measures for Public Participation in Environmental Impact Assessment," issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (effective January 1, 2019), as well as the relevant provisions outlined in Hebei Provincial Department of Environmental Protection Notice No. [2010]238, "Notice on Further Strengthening Public Participation in Environmental Impact Assessments for Construction Projects." We are now issuing the first public announcement regarding public engagement for this project's EIA. The details of the announcement are as follows:

The project is located in Chen Yaojing Village and Yang Yaojing Village, Guozhuang Town, Xian County, with a total investment of 240 million yuan. The planned annual slaughter capacity is 45 million meat ducks.

4. Project Construction Content:
The project consists of the following components: Phase 1 Core Project (including construction of a finished feed warehouse, a slaughtering workshop with associated facilities, and the installation of a new production line capable of processing 75,000 meat ducks daily, along with its supporting infrastructure). Supporting Projects: - Ancillary facilities within the slaughterhouse area, such as administrative offices, a canteen, packaging material storage, boiler room, gatehouse, refrigeration equipment room, firewater tank, and wastewater treatment station. - Storage and Transportation Facilities: - Natural gas storage tanks - Liquid ammonia storage tanks - Environmental Protection Measures: - Exhaust gas treatment systems - Wastewater treatment systems - Noise control measures - Solid waste storage solutions
Phase 2 of the main project includes: the construction of one new daily slaughter line capable of processing 75,000 meat ducks, along with its associated facilities. Supporting infrastructure will rely on Phase 1 of the project. The storage and logistics system will also depend on Phase 1, as will the environmental protection measures.
The third-phase project involves the construction of only the comprehensive building for the slaughterhouse area.
