Opening this shop in the county town doesn’t require a huge investment—selling just 8 birds daily is enough to cover all expenses, and you start making a profit from the 9th bird onward.

Located on the north side of the eastern entrance to Hongsheng Jiayuan on Dongsheng Road in Xian County's urban area, there is a The "Leshou Yufang" roast duck restaurant is owned by a young couple in their 30s—both born in the 1980s. Starting their business with "Peking-style roast duck," they’ve built a small but growing reputation in the county town over the past two to three years, thanks to their honest and reliable approach.

Chen Hong, deeply moved, said: "When choosing a business venture, it's crucial to partner with a strong and reliable company. Leshou is the largest roasted duck carcass producer in China, offering consistently high-quality products, a secure supply of premium ingredients, and always prioritizing the needs and concerns of its franchisees—guaranteeing both safety and peace of mind, so we can move forward with confidence."

This year Chen Honghai, 36, and his wife, Chen Sumei, are both from Danan Shao Village in Shanlin Township. After graduating from junior high school, Chen Honghai worked odd jobs and later went into business partnerships with others—before eventually returning to his hometown to explore ways to get rich.

In 2016, by a lucky chance, a friend who did business with the "Le Shou Duck Industry" company told Chen Honghai that he could open a shop in the county town, specializing in roast duck.

Chen Honghai, with a hopeful yet cautious attitude, surveyed the county town's market and discovered its promising potential.

"City dwellers live comfortable lives, and there are plenty of people who love roast duck," said Chen Honghai. He added that Beijing roast duck isn’t just delicious—it’s also a major brand, with many people viewing the ability to enjoy it as a way to showcase their status.

He didn’t hesitate—right away, he got down to it and… "Le Shou Yu Fang" learned Peking duck cooking techniques at its directly operated store in Rixin Fangcheng town and other locations, then secured a spot near Hongsheng Jiayuan and carefully opened its own Peking duck restaurant.

"The Peking duck restaurant has been incredibly popular since it opened, and sales have been steadily increasing year after year," said Chen Honghai. He added that he and his wife are so busy they’ve had to hire a young apprentice to help out.

“Running this shop in the county town doesn’t require much investment—selling just 8 birds a day is enough to cover all expenses, and from the 9th bird onward, I start making a profit,” Chen Hong said modestly.

"Every major holiday, selling over 100 fish is common—around 50 on weekends—and even during the slowest season, we still manage to sell about 20 to 30. All in all, earning more than 1,000 yuan a day isn’t a problem," Chen Honghai said with satisfaction.

He shared that his franchise store, "Le Shou Yufang," has benefited significantly over the past few years—so much so that he’s already purchased two apartments in the county town and even managed to send both of his children to school there.

"Since it’s a franchise store, you don’t have to worry about sourcing ingredients or supplies—everything is taken care of for you. As for the roast duck itself, the technical skill required isn’t too high; there’s a specialized oven that precisely controls the temperature. Once the duck is cooked, it just takes a bit of finesse to arrange, plate, and separate the bones from the meat," said Chen Honghai. "The store doesn’t have particularly high space requirements—50 to 60 square meters, 70 to 80 square meters, or even around 100 to 120 square meters will do just fine."

Chen Honghai explains that while roast duck is highly profitable, mastering it requires a serious and dedicated attitude. He recalls a famous quote from Leshou Agricultural and Pastoral Group: "Be honest in character, and meticulous in your work—only then can you truly turn your dream of earning 'gold by the bucketful every day' into reality."

Chen Honghai said that since his store is a franchise, he doesn’t keep secrets when sharing experiences, techniques, or other knowledge with everyone. Lately, many visitors from out of town have come to observe his business, and he’s been happy to teach them—without holding back—how to get rich by serving Peking duck. "The secret formula."
