Pledge of Allegiance in front of the former site of the 7th Central Committee's Second Plenary Session
That day, we visited the former site of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Xibaipo Memorial Hall. In front of the original venue of the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Central Committee of the CPC, all party members reaffirmed their入党 (joining the Party) oath.
Revisiting the revolutionary holy land, carrying forward the spirit of Xibaipo
Stepping into the former site and memorial hall of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Xibaipo, our colleagues paused before old photographs, listening intently as the guide brought the past vividly to life. It felt as though they had been transported back to those turbulent, war-torn years—those passionate, fiery times. And then, echoing in their ears, came Chairman Mao’s solemn warning to the entire Party: "We must ensure that comrades continue to maintain a spirit of humility, prudence, modesty, and vigilance against arrogance and impatience—and we must never lose our commitment to hard work and relentless struggle."
The Xibaipo Spirit, centered around themes such as "Two Musts" and "Rushing to Beijing for the Exam," has inspired generations of people and continues to resonate deeply and uplift hearts even today.
Embarking on a New Era of Exam Preparation
On July 11, 2013, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Xibaipo for an inspection and clearly urged Party organizations at all levels, as well as the vast number of Party members and officials, to "continuously study and deeply understand the profound implications of 'the two musts,'" and to "continue to deliver excellent results in the 'examination' posed by the people to our Party—and in the 'examinations' that our Party is currently facing and will continue to encounter."
The Red Spirit Inspires a Wave of Second Entrepreneurial Ventures
In the afternoon, Zhao Fushan, former assistant director and researcher at the Xibai Po Memorial Hall, offered attendees a fresh perspective and an in-depth exploration of the "Xibai Po Spirit." Drawing from rich and vivid historical materials, he encouraged participants to thoughtfully reflect on the pivotal turning points during the Xibai Po era, as well as the historic innovations that broke with the old to embrace the new. Through his analysis, Zhao highlighted Xibai Po's landmark significance and its enduring contributions—while also underscoring the practical relevance of carrying forward and promoting the Xibai Po Spirit in today’s evolving context.
Following this, Chairman Comrade Gao Xijun remarked: "The Communist Party of China is a great party. Over the past 100 years since its founding, the CPC has dedicated its very lives to securing peace and prosperity for our people. The Party has always united the entire nation under a shared vision, closely aligning its goals with those of the broader masses." Comrade Gao also emphasized, "We must understand the history of the Party, cherish the gratitude we owe it, and firmly follow its leadership. By serving society and contributing positively to the community, we must uphold our social responsibility—to stay true to our original aspirations and keep our mission firmly in mind." Since its establishment, Leshou Agricultural and Pastoral Group has consistently been committed to helping farmers escape poverty and achieve prosperity, while simultaneously creating employment opportunities for both society and rural communities. As Leshou Group embarks on a new journey of its second entrepreneurial phase, we must embrace the two 'dare-to's,' two 'persistences,' two 'skills,' and two 'musts' that embody the spirit of Xibaipo.
We must firmly uphold the leadership of the Communist Party, embrace and practice the spirit of "Two Musts," and continuously champion the "Two Responsibilities" mindset. Together, let's contribute our part to the success of LeShou Group's second entrepreneurial journey, helping it achieve new heights of glory. At the same time, we will strive for outstanding achievements as a heartfelt gift to celebrate LeShou Group's 25th anniversary in 2023.
Comrade Qin Wen'an, Vice President of Leshou Agricultural and Pastoral Group and Secretary of the Party Branch, emphasized that through this study session in Xibaipo, we must uphold the two "musts"—especially ensuring that our Party members take the lead in our work. As Communist Party members, we must embody a revolutionary spirit of courage and responsibility; and as corporate managers, we should demonstrate a pioneering, forward-moving mindset in our daily endeavors.
The Xibai Po Spirit
Through this visit and study, everyone gained a deeper understanding of the Party’s history, experienced a spiritual renewal, and received profound intellectual inspiration. We now more clearly recognize the importance of embracing and upholding the principles of "Two Musts" in our work, while drawing strength from the spirit of Xibaipo and embodying the hardworking ethos of earlier generations of revolutionaries—those who "endured hardship before seeking comfort." This experience further motivates all employees of Leshou to stay true to our original aspirations, keep our mission firmly in mind, and enthusiastically dedicate ourselves to Leshou Group’s ambitious second-venture initiative. Together, we will bravely advance toward the grand goal of achieving the Group’s rapid and robust growth.
