National Demonstration Park for Integrated Rural Industry Development Unveiled
Xian County Demonstration Park Selected
Recently, seven ministries—including the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs—jointly announced the third batch of national demonstration parks for integrated agricultural and rural development. Across the province, five demonstration parks made the list, and the Xian County Rural Industry Integration Development Demonstration Park was successfully selected, becoming the first such park in our city to earn this prestigious recognition. The Xian County Rural Industry Integration Development Demonstration Park was launched in 2019 with a total investment exceeding 1 billion yuan. Located across 35 villages in five townships—Duan Village Town, Leshou Town, Nanhetou Township, Chenzhuang Town, and Guozhuang Town—the park spans a total planned area of approximately 14,158 mu. Centered around the development of the meat duck industry, the park promotes the integrated growth of agriculture’s primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors, driving the sector toward large-scale, park-based, high-quality, and industrialized development. Today, the Xian County Rural Industry Integration Development Demonstration Park has already earned recognition as a provincial-level modern agricultural park and is currently listed as a national-level reserve park. Meanwhile, the county’s signature roast duck industry chain directly employs local farmers as skilled industrial workers, leveraging the park as a platform to foster urban-rural integration, uplift villagers’ incomes, and accelerate rural revitalization efforts. It is understood that the entities selected to establish National Rural Industry Integration Development Demonstration Parks must clearly define their functional positioning and scope of development, innovate industry integration models, strengthen mechanisms for aligning stakeholders' interests, and transform these parks into premier platforms and exemplary models for driving rural industry integration and growth in their respective regions.
