Firefighting Hero | The Extraordinary Heroic Spirit of Employees at Leshou Duck Industry Feed Branch

The employees of Leshou Duck Industry Feed Branch demonstrate extraordinary heroism, embodying the Leshou spirit of fearlessly facing challenges and bravely taking on social responsibility.

On the morning of July 11, the Feed Business Division office of Leshou Agricultural and Pastoral Group received a banner from Xiao Zhancheng of Cechengmiao Village, Monan Town. The banner of gratitude was delivered—originally presented to Zhao Yongkang, Production Manager at Hebei Leshou Duck Industry Feed Branch; Li Hongfu, Workshop Director; and their colleagues from the Leshou Duck Industry feed-loading and unloading team. They were recognized for their courageous act of stepping in to help, rescuing both people and a burning vehicle—and now, the owner of the small van has personally come to express his heartfelt thanks.

As proud members of the Leshou community, our company’s mission is to "alleviate burdens for the government and bring prosperity to the people." Since its establishment, the company has consistently upheld a corporate culture rooted in "being honest and upright in character, and diligent and meticulous in our work"—always holding ourselves to high standards while extending warmth and understanding to others.

On the morning of July 1, 2020, a small box truck spontaneously combusted outside the feed division facility of Hebei Leshou Duck Industry Co., Ltd., triggering a fire that quickly sent thick plumes of smoke billowing into the air.

Zhao Yongkang, the Production Manager of Hebei Leshou Duck Industry Feed Branch, along with Workshop Director Li Hongfu and their colleagues from the Leshou Duck Industry feed loading and unloading team, immediately sprang into action upon discovering the fire. They bravely rushed to the scene, using the company’s fire extinguishers, shovels, and other tools to launch a coordinated firefighting effort. By this time, the driver of the small cargo truck had already safely evacuated the vehicle. Meanwhile, the firefighters urged the driver to promptly dial the emergency 119 hotline. Despite working without proper protective gear and holding fire extinguishers directly in their hands—causing some team members to become soaking wet—they pressed on undeterred. After half an hour, as the fire trucks arrived on the scene, the flames were largely brought under control by our dedicated firefighters. Under the guidance and direction of the professional firefighters, the burning vehicle was swiftly extinguished.

Through their actions, they inspire and uphold the moral integrity of our society. Their inspiring stories serve as the greatest honor for everyone in Leshou. We hope they continue to shine brightly in their daily roles, carrying forward their exceptional spirit and making even greater contributions to our community.
