Xianxian County’s “National Standardized Demonstration Zone for the Integrated Third-Industry Development of Meat Ducks” has successfully passed its annual performance evaluation and earned an excellent rating.
On November 17, 2023, entrusted by the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Hebei Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, together with the Cangzhou Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, conducted an on-site inspection and acceptance at Hebei Leshou Duck Industry Co., Ltd., the project implementation unit in our county. Liu Yu, a first-level researcher from the Hebei Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, along with Huang Zhonghai, Deputy Director of the Cangzhou Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, and a team of eight experts, carried out the annual performance evaluation of the national-level demonstration project focused on the integrated standardization of the duck industry's primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors.
Liu Xiaowei, Vice County Mayor of Xian County People's Government, Zhao Songsu, Director of the Market Supervision Administration Bureau, along with leading officials from Xian County’s Development and Reform Bureau, Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, and Science, Industry, Information Technology, and Commerce Bureau, were accompanied by Gao Xijun, Chairman of Leshou Agricultural and Pastoral Group, and Qin Wen'an, General Manager of Hebei Leshou Duck Industry Co., Ltd. They conducted an on-site assessment of the meat duck farming and slaughtering facilities, toured the standardized roast duck laboratory, watched a promotional video showcasing the construction of the standardization demonstration zone, listened to a report from the project implementer on this year’s progress in building the demonstration zone, reviewed the relevant documentation, and ultimately passed the performance evaluation with an "Excellent" rating.
At the meeting, Gao Xijun, Chairman of Leshou Agricultural and Pastoral Group, emphasized that after the session, Leshou Duck Industry Company will rigorously implement the expert group's recommendations. The company will strengthen its industry development and closely align itself with national, provincial, municipal, and industry standards, further refining its internal regulations and operational processes. This move aims to make a greater contribution to the growth and upgrading of standards within the nationwide meat duck industry.
Liu Xiaowei, Deputy County Mayor of Xian County People's Government, stated that the government will take the lead in overseeing the project's summary and ensure timely progress according to the established milestones. Finally, Liu Yu, Director and First-Level Researcher at the Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, delivered a concluding speech, congratulating the county on successfully completing its annual standardization demonstration project and achieving outstanding results. She also encouraged the project team to continue collaborating closely and strive toward establishing themselves as a national-level exemplary demonstration zone, ultimately aiming to create a pilot demonstration park leading the national meat duck industry.
