“Standing together through thick and thin, true kindness shines amid the flood,” “Floods may be无情, but LeShou’s love endures,” “Caring for the flooded region reveals heartfelt compassion; united in our efforts, we stand strong against the disaster”— Recently, farmers from Xian County’s flood-affected areas gathered at the headquarters building of LeShou Agricultural & Pastoral Group, holding up banners to express their gratitude. They thanked LeShou Agricultural & Pastoral Group for stepping in promptly during the flood crisis, helping them minimize their losses.

"This flood has severely impacted agriculture and aquaculture in the floodplain area, causing significant losses for farmers and livestock breeders. As a Party member, I must actively fulfill my responsibilities and obligations, keeping the needs of these farmers at heart and doing everything possible to minimize their financial setbacks. Even if it means bearing some losses ourselves, our priority is to safeguard the interests of the breeders and bolster their confidence in continuing their livelihoods," said Gao Xijun, Chairman of the Leshou Agricultural and Pastoral Group in Xian County.

This year, 60-year-old Gao Xijun is a Party member with 28 years of membership. Upon learning about the activation of the Fan District in Xian County, he immediately became deeply concerned for the property safety of local farmers raising livestock in the area. Taking the lead, he worked alongside fellow members of the Group's Party leadership team to develop a meticulous and comprehensive relocation plan, aiming to minimize any potential losses to the farmers' assets.

On July 30, Gao Xijun led more than 20 Party-member employees from the group, joining county- and township-level Party officials in visiting 48 farmers across 25 villages in Zhangcun Township, Linhe Township, and Xiaopingwang Township. "What these farmers worry about most is still their meat ducks," Gao Xijun told the farmers, confidently promising, "Don’t you worry— I’ll make sure to protect your ducks."

According to statistics, Xian County's flood-affected area has been raising a total of 350,000 meat ducks, with 280,000 needing to be relocated. Party-member employees from the Leshou Agricultural and Pastoral Group have clearly divided responsibilities: they’ve reached out to contracted meat duck farmers outside the flood zone to find available sheds that can temporarily house the ducks from the flooded area, while also coordinating transportation vehicles ready to head straight into the flood zone at a moment’s notice. By 10 p.m. on July 31, after nearly 14 hours of dedicated effort, the team successfully completed the relocation of all 280,000 meat ducks.

To ensure the transferred meat ducks adapt smoothly to their new environment and resume normal feeding, Leshou Agricultural & Pastoral Group has also assembled a team of skilled technicians, forming a dedicated care team that has developed a well-planned strategy to guarantee the ducks maintain their weight after the transfer.

Liu Xuyan from Qizhuang Village, Xiaopingwang Township, has successfully relocated her 14,400 meat ducks to a contracted duck shed in Zhanghua Village, Xicheng Township, Xian County. Under the careful supervision of technical staff, the ducks have adapted smoothly to their new environment and are now eating normally. "In just over 10 days, we’ll be able to harvest the ducks, with each one expected to yield a profit of around 3 yuan," Liu Xuyan said. She added that Le Shou Agricultural and Pastoral Group’s swift action has helped her safeguard her income—and despite the ongoing flood situation, she feels completely calm and confident.

Additionally, to help farmers overcome their challenges, Leshou Agricultural and Pastoral Group also made targeted donations of cash and supplies totaling 676,000 yuan through the Xian County Red Cross Society, specifically for the Fan District in Xian County. "These donations not only addressed our urgent farming needs but also provided us with tremendous encouragement and support," the farmers expressed, their gratitude clearly evident in their words.
