On the morning of July 1, 2020, a small box truck spontaneously ignited outside the feed division facility of Hebei Leshou Duck Industry Co., Ltd., triggering an immediate fire and sending thick plumes of smoke billowing into the air.

Zhao Yongkang, Production Manager at Hebei Leshou Duck Industry Feed Branch, along with Workshop Director Li Hongfu and their colleagues from the Leshou Duck Industry feed loading and unloading team, immediately sprang into action upon discovering the fire. They bravely rushed to the scene, using the company’s fire extinguishers, shovels, and other tools to launch a coordinated firefighting effort. By this time, the driver of the small cargo truck had already safely evacuated the vehicle. Meanwhile, the firefighters urged the driver to dial the emergency 119 fire hotline. Despite working without proper protective gear and holding fire extinguishers directly in their hands—causing some team members to become soaking wet—they pressed on undeterred. After half an hour, as the fire trucks arrived promptly, the flames were largely brought under control by our dedicated firefighting crew. Under the guidance and direction of the professional firefighters, the burning vehicle was swiftly extinguished.
